In 1993, Chicago rock legends the Smashing Pumpkins set out on the Rock Invasion Tour for their breakout album Siamese Dream. Now, 27 years later, they've announced they will be embarking on a sequel to that trek, titled -- you guessed it -- Rock Invasion 2.
The Rock Invasion 2 tour starts in Kentucky in April and ends in North Carolina on at the beginning of May, including stops at festivals like Beale Street and Shaky Knees.
“It’s been a good while since we’ve played a straight-up, bare-knuckle rock and roll show -- one that avoids little in the way of raw power,” frontman Billy Corgan said in a statement. “So note: this tour won’t be for those faint of heart and will certainly echo the dynamic modes in which we built our live reputation.”
