Ryan Gosling starred in an absolutely hilarious Beavis and Butt-Head parody on SNL this weekend.
After stealing the show at last month’s Oscars by performing I’m Just Ken with Slash, the Canadian acting superstar hit Saturday Night Live to help pay tribute to Mike Judge’s beloved cartoon slackers.
Playing a fake Beavis, Ryan was spotted in the audience of an important NewsNation segment, with SNL cast members Heidi Gardner and Kenan Thompson trying to conduct an interview all about artificial intelligence in front of a serious crowd.
“There’s a gentleman in your audience who is strikingly similar to Beavis from the cartoon Beavis and Butt-Head…” said distracted AI expert Kenan, spotting Ryan in a DEATH ROCK T-shirt with big blond hair.
With Ryan/Beavis being asked to move seat, Kenan was then unable to carry on the interview for a second time, after seeing yet another strangely familiar face in his eyeline…
“Now there’s a gentleman behind you that looks like Butt-Head,” he continued, catching a glimpse of American actor and comedian Mikey Day in full Butt-Head-esque prosthetics.
This is when the whole thing descended into full chaos, with Heidi completely breaking character and barely being able to get through the rest of the sketch. Later, Ryan and Mikey were sat together where they looked even more
like Beavis and Butt-Head, though both insisted – while laughing their heads off – that they’re too busy to watch TV, and have no idea who Beavis and Butt-Head are…
