Mad Cool reveal first names for 2025 including Weezer, Thirty Seconds To Mars and St. Vincent
Weezer and Thirty Seconds To Mars join the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Iggy Pop and Noah Kahan atop next year’s Mad Cool Festival bill.
To coincide with the announcement of The Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour, Weezer brought out Dominic Fike at a tiny LA show…
Not for the first time in their respective careers, Weezer’s path has just crossed with superstar actor and musician Dominic Fike.
This latest meeting happened on March 15 at the 500-capacity Lodge Room in Los Angeles, where Rivers Cuomo and co. were playing a tiny show to celebrate the announcement of The Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour.
And while performing their classic Blue Album in full, they brought Dominic out onstage to sing and play guitar to Say It Ain’t So, making the occasion even more special than it already was.
Of course, Weezer will be playing the record in full a whole bunch more throughout 2024, with their upcoming tour in celebration of the LP kicking off at the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul, MN on September 4, and finishing up at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA on October 11.
They’ll be joined by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. for the whole thing, and have confirmed that they’ll also be playing “other fan favourites, rarities and more”, on top of their debut.
