Post – real name Austin Post – reflects that this is a 'medium' memory, but one that has been reinforced by more recent events in different American cities.
"I used to live in Tarzana," he says. "There was a balcony – and it sounds corny – but there was a classic force field. When you think of a force field, and it's kinda like a dome, in a circular shape, and it just [quickly] goes back in. In Tarzana, looking down at the fucking city. I'm like, 'How did nobody else see this?' But I was there with four other people, and they saw it, too."
The stories come in the wake of former blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge's successful campaign for the Pentagon to release three alleged UFO videos in April this year. In 2017 and 2018, the musician's organisation To The Stars Academy Of Arts & Science published three clips captured by Navy pilots showing strange objects which rapidly accelerated in U.S. airspace.
As a result of the Pentagon acknowledging the videos, Tom has renewed his commitment to pursuing the mysterious technology, finding more answers, and making sure that similar mysterious stories are told.
Post Malone, meanwhile, has been making the most of his unexpected free time in the USA, mulling over the follow-up to his 2019 multi-platinum album Hollywood's Bleeding.
