Post Malone Announces Nirvana Tribute Livestream

It's no secret that Post Malone has got absolutely rad taste in music, having collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne, hung out with Metallica, covered Pantera and even played beer pong with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong.

Now, the rapper is once again proving his rock and metal credentials, having just announced a Nirvana tribute livestream on YouTube this Friday. According to a press release, Post will “perform a set of Nirvana hits and fan favourites” while also raising money for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Google will also reportedly match all donations up to $5 million, so this could be huge.

Quiz: How well do you know Nirvana's lyrics?

Post hasn't revealed too much information other than that, simply confirming that it'll be taking place at 11pm BST on April 24, with more details being made available if you text 817-270-6440.

Of course, Post Malone has previously shown his appreciation for Nirvana, having covered All Apologies at the House Of Blues in Boston back in 2017. As well as the obvious Stay Away ink on his forehead, Post also has a Kurt Cobain tattoo on his knuckle, and collaborated with Rich The Kid on an unreleased track about the late Nirvana frontman.
