Dream State, Kid Bookie and more announced for returning Takedown Festival
“The line-up looks stacked and we are ready to shred the room to pieces!” Takedown Festival is back next April…
Acres have signed to Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records and shared a new single, Lost, which is about the fact that, “One day you can have everything you have ever wanted, and the next day, it’s gone.”
Following last year’s Burning Throne album (and 2024 standalone single A Different Shade Of Misery), Acres are back with new music – and a new label.
The British metallers recently signed to Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records, and have since unveiled new track Lost.
And vocalist Ben Lumber says it’s “possibly one of my favourite Acres songs we’ve written to date, it came so naturally and the song almost wrote itself”.
He adds of how it came about: “A close friend of mine recently went through a tough break-up and he told me, ‘One day you can have everything you have ever wanted, and the next day, it’s gone,’ and that’s what I wrote this song about. We’ve all had shitty relationships, and when you feel so secure and safe with someone, it can all of a sudden disappear, leaving you feeling lost and vulnerable with no clue where to turn or what to even do.”
