Birmingham heavy metal heroes Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler have made a genius cameo in a new trailer for their local Premier League club, Aston Villa.
The Black Sabbath legends have helped launch Villa’s 2024/25 season home kit alongside club stars like Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Martinez and John McGinn, and head coach Unai Emery.
In this minute-long video, which is also soundtracked superbly by Paranoid, Ozzy and Geezer begin by having a phone call about playing at Villa Park – apparently the bassist favours the left wing, FYI – while The Prince Of Darkness then later yells out to his wife Sharon asking for his “Preds” (his adidas Predator boots for those of you who aren’t into football).
At one point he also refers to himself as “the biggest frontman to ever come out of Birmingham”, and basically, the whole thing is just brilliant. Fair play, Villa!
