Two new Nirvana live recordings have been released onto streaming services, ahead of the deluxe rerelease of their third album, 1992's In Utero.

The new live versions of Pennyroyal Tea and Scentless Apprentice – recorded in LA in December 1993, and Seattle in January 1994 respectively – are just two of a whopping 53 extra live tracks included in the box set, none of which have been released until now.

The 30th Anniversary reissue comes out on October 27, as double CD, double vinyl, or massive five-CD and eight-LP sets. The big ones also come with a bunch of collectible stuff, including:

  • 48-page hard cover book
  • Slipcase with removable acrylic panel with angel printed on it
  • In Utero newly remastered and two officially unreleased complete live albums from Los Angeles 1993 and Seattle 1994, bonus studio tracks and b-sides, and bonus live tracks from 1993/1994 tour
  • Bonus items: replica 1993 record store angel mobile, brand new 24-page fanzine, Los Angeles tour poster litho by renegade hot rod artist Coop, 3 gig flyers, 2 tickets, AAA laminate, 4 uniquely shaped cloth sticky backstage passes
