Every time we've seen Will Ramos this year, he's been in a superb mood. Little wonder, really. As well as Lorna Shore finally getting to drop I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, everywhere he's been he's played a massive show. And after a short festive rest at home, he's straight back on it, heading to the UK in February for another huge tour, including a stop at Alexandra Palace, where they last performed as support to Parkway Drive. That new Japanese car he's bought is gonna have to sit on the driveway a bit longer before he can play with it…

How's your 2025 been, sir?
“This has been an incredible year for all of us in Lorna Shore. After many, many months of holding onto the new album, it feels like a breath of fresh air knowing it's finally out and that people are enjoying it. Next year is going to be insane, so we're doing our best to enjoy the time we have before we go into crazy tour mode.”

Between Everblack… coming out and doing your biggest shows to date, it’s been massive. How does it feel looking back?
“Looking back on 2025… it's crazy to think it's even over. We had so many milestones we've crossed for all of us individually and as a band. With the album finally out, it feels like we're officially free from studio-prison. The feeling is incredible.”

Where’s the coolest place you’ve been this year?
“I'd say the most memorable place we've played was at The Rave in Milwaukee. It was a big bucket list event for me. Some people don't know this, but beneath the venue lies an empty/abandoned pool signed by many famous artists over the years. One of which – and the most memorable for me – was Mac Miller. His music was a big part of my life in my 20s. Looking back to that time, it makes me feel bittersweet and almost emotional. I'll never forget that day.”

We see you bought a new car from Japan – having fun with it?
“I'm having a lot of fun with my new Skyline. I've always wanted a right-hand drive car, so finally getting this thing road-legal was one of the greatest feelings. I can't wait to drive it more in the spring.”

You've got no time to rest – you're hitting Alexandra Palace in February. How are you feeling about going back there as headliners?
“It's actually insane to me that the second time we're playing Ally Pally, we're gonna be headlining it. It feels like just the other day we were playing with Parkway Drive at what I considered to be one of the nicest venues we've ever played. The crowd was insane and the vibes were immaculate. I'm so stoked to come back in February and play our new music.”

What’s the best album you’ve heard this year?
“It's hard to choose a favourite metal album of 2025, so I'll just say I'm stuck between the new Signs Of The Swarm [To Rid Myself Of Truth] and new Shadow Of Intent [Imperium Delirium]. We always love to put-on for our boys, but these two records specifically are absolute heaters. Between the vocal techniques of David [Simonich, Signs Of The Swarm] and Ben [Duerr, Shadow Of Intent], it feels like a no-brainer. These two albums kick ass in more ways than one and are definitely worth the listen.”

What are you doing for Christmas?
“I'm going to spend it with the family. Christmas is a very important holiday in my household, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing everyone and partying like a bunch of crazy Puerto Ricans.”

What’s the best bit of Christmas dinner?
“Puerto Ricans always go crazy with Christmas dinner so, honestly, I'm expecting all the best: pernil, arroz con gandules, you name it. I'm gonna be fighting for my life for the cuero, so pray for me.”

What do you want for Christmas?
“What I want most is to see my loved ones. I spend so much time on tour and away from home, and it really does make me homesick. So, personally, I'm not looking for anything specific – just quality time with quality people.”

What’s your ultimate New Year’s party tip?
“My number one tip has got to be starting the day with a big Pedialyte [rehydration drink]. Anything with an insane amount of electrolytes will save your ass when you wake up on January 1. It's a hack someone taught me years ago, and one people often forget. If you plan on going out for NYE, stay hydrated with some electrolytes. You'll thank yourself later.”
