Moodring drops Masochist Machine from forthcoming second album

Moodring has unleashed a killer new single and video, Masochist Machine.

The mastermind behind the whole project, Hunter Young, shares that his latest rager is about “being used by your own addictions and obsessive compulsions. A losing struggle against illicit drugs, sex and a longing for any kind of release from this life. This coincides with a retrofuturisic musical backdrop, seeking another form of escapism.”

Masochist Machine is taken from Moodring’s forthcoming second album death fetish – the follow-up to 2022’s Stargazer. It’s due out in full on March 27 via SharpTone, and Hunter says that, “I just wanted to make a dark, honest record. And if people don’t like it, I don’t really care. I had to do it for myself.”
