Slayer announce huge Cardiff and London summer 2025 shows
Slayer have confirmed their first UK headline shows in six years, with special guests Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed and NECKBREAKKER.
Mastodon and guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds have “mutually decided to part ways”, according to a statement from the band.
Mastodon have just announced (Friday, March 7) that they have parted ways with guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds after 25 years.
A brief statement from the now-trio of Troy Sanders, Bill Kelliher and Brann Dailor says that the split was mutual, and their touring plans – which including supporting Black Sabbath and Slayer in the UK this June – are unaffected by this development.
“Friends and Fans, After 25 monumental years together, Mastodon and Brent Hinds have mutually decided to part ways,” they write.
“We’re deeply proud of and beyond grateful for the music and history we’ve shared and we wish him nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors. We are still very inspired and excited to show up for fans in this next chapter of Mastodon. As we move forward, all 2025 touring plans will remain intact. We look forward to seeing you on the road.”
Until now, Mastodon’s line-up remained unchanged since 2001. Brent appeared on all eight studio albums – from 2002 debut Remission through to 2021’s Hushed And Grim.
