Marilyn Manson Drummer Gil Sharone Has Left The Band

After six years in Marilyn Manson's band, drummer Gil Sharone has announced that he is leaving.

In a statement, the sticksman says that it's time for him "to pursue other current and future projects" having performed on both 2015’s The Pale Emperor and 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. It is unclear if he also worked on their new record – which Mazza himself recently said he was in the process of finishing.

"After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I’ve decided to leave the band. It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects. Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It’s been a blast."

Fingers crossed for an update on both the band and the new album ahead of Manson's upcoming summer tour with Rob Zombie. Currently, the pair are asking fans which song they should cover together next.
