Machine Gun Kelly Says He's Releasing A Rock Album In 2020

The past year has been exciting for rapper Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly. Not only did he portray drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix's Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt, but he also performed on the movie's theme song, and has since been an intrinsic part of announcing Mötley Crüe's reunion. Apparently, all of this has rubbed off on Kelly, as he's now announced that he'll be putting out a rock album next year.

Kelly tweeted the following earlier today:

He then quickly followed that up with another tweet:

Keep your eyes peeled for a new Machine Gun Kelly song -- maybe a rock track? -- in the coming month.

This comes after an extremely positive tweet about the state of music:

Of course, all of this comes after Mötley Crüe announced their reunion tour with Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett yesterday, so it feels like things are really coming to a head on all things Crüe right now.
