Listen to LØLØ’s new single, the devil wears converse
LØLØ is back with new music – and this one’s about “that dangerously troublesome type of person who walks into the room and makes you forget every healthy decision you’ve ever made…”
Weirdly, it’s only half horror-metaphor about falling for a zombie…
LØLØ has been busy lately. She's just signed to Fearless, played at the return of the Warped Tour in the U.S., and she's currently on the road in America with Canadian pop-punk heroes Simple Plan, before she heads out on her own jaunt in November.
Among all that, hot on the waffle-print heels of June's the devil wears converse, she's just released a twisted new tune, american zombie. A song she calls, "probably the most unhinged love song I’ve ever written".
"I wrote it after one of the strangest and most unforgettable nights of my entire life,” she says. “The song is about being drawn to someone who’s maybe even half-dead inside, but still makes you feel more alive than anyone else ever has. They’re completely wrecked but still somehow completely captivating.
"This song is my way of capturing that weird, electric moment—falling for someone you know could be broken and guaranteed to destroy you, but doing it anyway.”
Appropriately, there's a zombie boy in the video. Have a look...
