Well, isn't this a treat? Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has surprised the world with a new solo song, Medicine For Melancholy and as the song itself says, 'We've got that Friday feeling', thanks to its breezy melody, super catchy chorus and handclaps. Take note, bands: more handclaps.
It's his first solo work since 2011's Alone III: The Pinkerton Years, but he's busy as hell in recent years with Weezer, having released 11th album Pacific Daydream in late 2017 and he's confirmed the long-awaited, much-fabled 'Black' album will finally be released on May 25 according to this interview with Australian radio station Double J.
Good news, right? Check out Medicine For Melancholy below. And while you're here, why not catch up on our in-depth chat with the Weezer frontman from a a while back. That's here.
