The big review: Good Things Festival 2024
Sydney gets rocked as Korn, Loathe, Sleeping With Sirens and more take a noisy pre-Christmas trip down under…
After teasing it all week, Korn have finally dropped the latest track from their upcoming album Requiem – and it’s a biggie.
Korn have today (January 13) shared a brand-new single and accompanying visualiser, Forgotten.
The track has been teased online all week via plenty of cryptic animated graphics and instrumentals, and now the full thing has arrived to give fans another taste of what to expect from upcoming album Requiem (due out February 4 via Loma Vista Recordings).
In a November interview with Kerrang!, guitarist James 'Munky' Shaffer enthused of not only Korn's return but that of fellow nu-metal titans such as Limp Bizkit and Slipknot: "The people making the music still have their hearts in it. [Limp Bizkit and Slipknot] love what they do and we love what we do – and the audience senses that. No matter how much certain people are negative about it, the listeners are the ultimate judge and jury.”
Vocalist Jonathan Davis added that for Korn, and especially in the case of Requiem, making music together is still so special. "We’ve been together 27 fucking years but I still get excited to see them," he enthused of his bandmates. "We’re still like those 24-year-old kids making that first record, we still get that excited."
