While we’re always so excited about the forward-thinking and creative new music that’s coming out, there’s nothing wrong with looking back a bit. And that’s what new Vegas fest When We Were Young did so expertly last weekend (and this coming weekend, too), living up to its name and celebrating all things throwback emo and pop-punk.
Bands and fans alike dressed for the occasion, with My Chemical
Romance and The All-American Rejects going as far as to wear ‘old’ make-up to amusingly
age themselves onstage. Meanwhile, festival-goers took inspiration from all
angles – from Myspace vibes to band merch to simply just looking cool as
hell.
