Live review: Biffy Clyro, London O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire
The band for the ages, Biffy Clyro, open the archives and dust off their early works during three-night stand in London town
Biffy Clyro side-project Empire State Bastard made their debut in the capital last night, and they were joined onstage by legendary drummer Dave Lombardo and Bitch Falcon bassist Naomi Macleod…
Last night (March 28), 500 lucky gig-goers were treated to Empire State Bastard’s London debut at the intimate and very sweaty Camden Underworld.
Following shows in Glasgow and Manchester the nights prior, the band – Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil and guitarist Mike Vennart, plus legendary Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and Bitch Falcon’s Naomi Macleod on bass – hit the capital to show fans what they’re all about.
They kicked things off with the only single they’ve released so far – the excellent Harvest – before tearing through 12 more wild and varied tracks. They all had one thing in common, though: they’re gloriously heavy.
