The Darkness drop high-energy single: “A joyous, raucous celebration of self-loathing”
Listen to The Darkness’ self-deprecating new single I Hate Myself, taken from their forthcoming album Dreams On Toast.
On Saturday night at London’s Roundhouse, The Darkness fan Ed Sheeran played a six-song support set on their Permission To Land anniversary tour, as well as performing Love Is Only A Feeling.
Having previously hung out with Korn, teamed up with Bring Me The Horizon and with a potential Cradle Of Filth collab on the way, Ed Sheeran has long proven his rock and metal credentials. And over the weekend he continued to share his love for the scene, joining The Darkness at London’s Roundhouse.
Wearing a shiny T-shirt with the headliners’ name on, the UK pop megastar – and genuinely massive Darkness fan – surprised fans in Camden by performing a surprise six-song support slot for the band, kicking off with Shivers and closing with Bad Habits (which of course is the same song he reworked with BMTH). Then, seven songs into The Darkness’ Permission To Land celebration, Ed came back out to help perform Love Is Only A Feeling, reportedly telling the crowd how he was “living his dream” in that moment, having been a fan of them since he was 12 years old. Awwwww!
