Dee Snider Says New AC/DC Album Has Been Delayed, But Is "The Ultimate 'One More Time'"

Though we've all still got Back In Black on repeat after the album celebrated its 40th anniversary this weekend, talk has now turned back to AC/DC's long-awaited new studio effort.

And, according to Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider (who has given multiple AC/DC updates over the past few months), the follow-up to 2014's Rock Or Bust “has been recorded”.

Dee also tells ABC Audio that the hard-rock legends' new album “has been delayed” due to the coronavirus pandemic, though he doesn't give a timeframe of how far back it has been pushed.

“This is gonna be a miracle of technology,” he continues. “What will be achieved, the reuniting of the band that we know for one more album, is gonna be uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time. Because nothing goes on forever. But this is the ultimate ‘one more time.’”

In December 2019, Dee first confirmed that “all four surviving members have reunited” for the release, adding that, “It’s as close as you can get to the original band.”

Then, this past February, he gave insight about a dinner he had with Brian Johnson, revealing that the frontman told Dee “a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff that I don’t wanna say”.

“But we know from the photos, and Brian confirmed it, they’ve been in the studio, they’ve been recording,” he added. “The original – I don’t say the ‘original’ guys, because a lot of ’em are gone, but I say the ‘classic’ line-up is back together and there are some surprises, which I can’t talk about, regarding Malcolm Young that just had my jaw on the floor. I will say he will be present. So this is AC/DC as we know and love them.”
