Dayseeker part ways with guitarist Gino Sgambelluri
Dayseeker have announced that they have “mutually decided to part ways” with guitarist Gino Sgambelluri, only a couple of weeks on from the release their new album Creature In The Black Night.
With new album Creature In The Black Night dropping this Friday, Dayseeker are giving fans one final peek at the record…
Dayseeker have unleashed a stunning new single, Crawl Back To My Coffin, and equally striking accompanying music video.
The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Creature In The Black Night, which arrives in full this Friday, October 24 via Spinefarm. In our 4/5 review of the LP, we said that it’s “an intoxicating ride that’s equal parts sugar and pill”, and that “Creature In The Black Night is the record Dayseeker have long threatened to make – a creature that’ll envelop you in its cloak and not let you go. Not that you’ll want it to, anyway.”
Speaking specifically about Crawl Back To My Coffin, vocalist Rory Rodriguez calls the song a “metaphor for love that hurts you when you’re guarded and causes your walls to go up even further. The excitement in meeting someone new when you’re ‘dead’ and feeling like they bring you back to life only to feel pain and wish you had never left your grave at the end of it.”
Check out the video below, which was directed by Jensen Noen (who in 2025 has worked on the likes of twenty one pilots’ incredible City Walls, and Amy Lee, Poppy and Courtney LaPlante’s collab End Of You).
