Claudio Sanchez performs songs by Taylor Swift, Smashing Pumpkins and more on new covers album
Listen to Coheed And Cambria’s new Claudio Covers release, featuring eight of the frontman’s interpretations…
It looks like Coheed are gearing up for the second part of their Vaxis series...
Three years since their last studio album, 2018’s Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures, U.S. prog-punks Coheed And Cambria have unveiled a new song, Shoulders. With that album heralding the band’s return to the conceptual world of The Amory Wars, Shoulders signals the run up to the sequel, itself chapter two of an intended five-part story.
There’s not much hint of where the story’s going in the new track, mind.
“In art, in your career, in relationships, no matter how much you give of yourself or try, you have to accept that not everything in life can be a perfect fit,” says singer/guitarist Claudio Sanchez. This strife will become clear in time, though, as more Vaxis stuff is brought out. For now, there’s just some killer visuals to go with it.
Meanwhile, Coheed are getting ready to hit the road in the U.S. with The Used, kicking off at the end of next month.
