Brutus share rousing new single, Victoria

Ahead of the release of new album Unison Life next month, Belgium’s Brutus have shared another fantastic new single.

Entitled Victoria, the track is, according to vocalist Stefanie Mannaerts, about “getting older. You know grown-up life is lurking around the corner, but you’re not afraid of what’s coming, because we’re all going to go down together.”

Adds bassist Peter Mulders: “Victoria has always felt nostalgic for us. Back to the old Brutus days. The guitar riff has been around since 2013, but it is only now that it shines in a full song. What can be seen as a quieter song with a normal song structure, turned out to be a huge step for us to take. We can’t hide behind effects, tempo changes, shouts or blasts.”

Unison Life is due out on October 21 via Hassle Records / Sargent House.
