Bowling For Soup have announced a new live album, A Hangover You Definitely Deserve (Live).
Due out on October 24, the record captures BFS’ Manchester show from earlier this year on their A Hangover You Don’t Deserve 20th anniversary run, and also arrives ahead of the pop-punk kings’ first-ever headline gig London’s OVO Arena Wembley on December 13.
“I remember being terrified as the 20th anniversary of this album approached,” reflects frontman Jaret Reddick. “We would have to learn all 18 songs… at least half of which we hadn’t played since recording the album.
“But as we started ploughing away through the album, the magic came back. It was such a good time in our lives and our career making this monster! I hope that comes across on this live recording. I sure feel like it does.”
The band – completed by bassist Rob Felicetti and drummer Gary Wiseman – are giving fans a preview of their live experience with the release of A-Hole (Live And Hungover) from the album, which you can hear below.
“A-Hole is one of those songs that I always thought could have been a single,” admits Jaret. “Then, when we did the album tour and asked John James Ryan to join us onstage with his sax, it took on an even greater life! This song was the highlight of my night during the tour. And I am so glad we are getting to release it in this capacity.”
