Black Veil Brides Have "Six Solid Songs Written" For Their Next Album

After frontman Andy Biersack teased back in May that there's “lots of Black Veil Brides news coming soon”, guitarist Jinxx has revealed that the band have made huge progress in writing the follow-up to 2018 album Vale.

He tells Myglobalmind that BVB “have been writing up a storm” in their songwriting sessions for the new record, admitting that he doesn't want to “talk too much about what we envision for the next album”, but that the band “are revisiting the idea of another concept record like we did with [2013's] Wretched And Divine”.

Jinxx continues: “It would be fun to do another concept CD, but we'll see how things pan out. We have six solid songs written, and we are still writing.”

The guitarist also reveals that fellow guitarist Jake Pitts is producing the effort, with his bandmates tracking vocals and guitars at Jake's studio. He adds of the entire process: “With COVID going on, we have all been quarantined and working at home, but when we do get together, it's just us and maybe our wives. When we are all in the same room bouncing ideas off each other, it's a never-ending flood of inspiration and ideas. I'm excited for fans to hear what we are coming up with.”

Late last year, Black Veil Brides returned with two new singles – Saints Of The Blood and The Vengeance – collectively known as The Night, as well as announcing new bassist Lonny Eagleton.

Discussing the concept of unveiling The Night as a ‘duology’ and if BVB might continue to release music in this format, Andy told Kerrang!, “Quite honestly, we’ve been having so much fun writing that it felt like a shame to wait until a full album was written before releasing new music. I see this format as something that’s going to be really enjoyable for us, so much so that we’ve already begun work on the next one we’ll be putting out. There may be the potential to compile several duologies into a full record further down the line, but right now our focus is on making these mini records and having fun with it.”
