Album review: Badflower – No Place Like Home
Nashville rock favourites Badflower present a slick and often strikingly emotive offering.
Listen to Badflower’s new single Snuff, which is taken from the band’s forthcoming No Place Like Home album and hears Josh Katz on the hunt for ‘Some whips and chains, maybe a shackle or two…’
With new album No Place Like Home arriving this month, Badflower have just unveiled another killer single from the record.
Entitled Snuff, this one gets pretty honest and X-rated, as vocalist Josh Katz kicks off the opening verse with the admission that his ‘love language is violence, baby’, before the pre-chorus hits and he sings that, ‘I like to suffer, I’m not ashamed / I’m into torture and I’m never gonna change.’
There’s also a very fun interlude, in which it’s revealed that, ‘Badflower intended to insert a short sample of a popular song from the 1990s / But they were unable to get in touch with the copyright holder.’
