Fresh from their metal instrumental cover of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You, August Burns Red have turned their focus back onto the world of heavy music and tackled System Of A Down's classic single Chop Suey!.
"After years of playing Chop Suey! over the PA system right before we took the stage at our shows, we decided to take a crack at the song ourselves," explains guitarist JB Brubaker. "This is truly one of the most legendary rock/metal songs of all time and it was so much fun to cover.
"I’m especially proud of our singer Jake and our bassist Dustin. We haven’t done much clean singing in our music and this song showcases our vocalists in a whole new way."

As well as being a great rendition, ABR's timing is absolutely perfect here as Chop Suey! recently joined the one billion view club on YouTube.
“I wrote that in the back of the RV,” guitarist Daron Malakian revealed of the Toxicity track. “With that, I didn’t want to repeat myself. I didn’t want to write Pluck again or Suite-Pee again. I wanted to explore something different. At the same time, I wanted to retain our style so I put a lot of the ideas together.”
