And So I Watch You From Afar Return With The Endless Shimmering

Northern Irish instrumental titans will release their new album in October – listen to A Slow Unfolding Of Wings now.

And So I Watch You From Afar Return With The Endless Shimmering

Belfast-based (mostly) instrumental crew And So I Watch You From Afar – yes, it’s a mouthful, but just think of them as “Amazing Live”, and that’s half of what you need to know, here – are to release their fifth studio LP this autumn.

A nine-track set, The Endless Shimmering is slated for an October 20 release via Sargent House – home to the likes of Deafheaven and Russian Circles, which is handy, as fans of those bands will surely get a kick out of ASIWYFA, too. Sorry, out of Amazing Live, too. (They really are, though.)

Ahead of the LP, Amazing Live have released a video for the track A Slow Unfolding Of Wings. Watch it below.

Do we still call this kind of thing post-rock, or is that completely passé now? Who knows, or cares for that matter – if it’s great, it’s great, right?

I know what you’re thinking: But, Kerrang!, where can I see Amazing Live be amazing, live? Well, you’re in luck – the four-piece is hitting the road from October to December, covering 42 dates across Europe. Posting them all here would be exhausting, so we’ll focus on UK and Ireland gigs – but you can find the complete list at the band’s website
