As Slipknot gear up to hit the road in the States all summer alongside Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth, some awesome pro-shot footage of their show at Spain's Ressurection Fest earlier in the month has hit the internet.

The Iowa metal titans stopped off in Spain as part of their huge European summer tour – which also included a pretty damn special headline slot at the UK's own Download Festival. At their July 5 show at Resurrection Fest in Campo de fútbol Celeiro, Viveiro, the band unleashed a discography-spanning 17-song set, including All Hope Is Gone smash Psychosocial, which you can check out below.

Frontman Corey Taylor recently went into a bit more detail about the band’s live production and its inspiration on this tour, telling Daniel P. Carter on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show about how it’s an “attempt to create some Iron Maiden stuff” – something the nine-piece have been trying to do for a while now.

“Honestly, it’s everything that we’ve wanted to do for years, and we just never had the budget, and we had also had a lot of people around us telling us we couldn’t do it,” the vocalist said.

“The show looks amazing. Not only is it interactive – there’s video, there’s fire – but the whole set looks like an industrial complex. This is our attempt to create some Iron Maiden stuff, which is something we’ve been trying to do for a while.”

Slipknot’s huge U.S. tour is set to kick off at the end of the month.

The band recently announced an “immersive exhibit” that will be available to attend at the shows, detailing a journey “from throughout the band’s history complete with instruments, memorabilia, wardrobe and personal never-before-seen items”.
