Slayer's Manager: Farewell Tour Doesn't Mean The End Of The Band

Is this really the end of Slayer? Well... maybe not

Slayer's Manager: Farewell Tour Doesn't Mean The End Of The Band

Slayer's longtime manager Rick Sales has said that just because the band are in the middle of their final tour, it doesn't mean it's necessarily the end.

At the start of 2018, Slayer announced their plans to call it a day with one last tour, which has travelled across the globe (including a stop at this year's Download festival), and will climax for two hometown shows at The Forum in Los Angeles on November 29 and 30.

However, it doesn't actually sound like this is the last we'll hear from the thrash titans.

In a new interview with MassLive, the Slayer manager says that "the band has always had a lot of integrity and "there are a couple things that go on."

He continues: "I totally get that they made a decision to stop touring. That doesn’t mean the end of the band. It’s just the end of touring. I always thought of it as, ‘You go out on top.’ They made that decision. They’re not milking it. From that standpoint, I get it and they made the right choice.”

Slayer recently released The Repentless Killogy, a feature-length movie that comprises three blood-drenched music videos with a live performance in Los Angeles in 2017. It stars Danny Trejo, Jessica Pimentel, Bill Moseley and more.

The band’s last (presumably?) tour is in its final stages, with just a handful of dates left across North America.
