Lamb Of God Postpone UK/European Tour

Lamb Of God are the latest band to postpone their upcoming tour of Europe in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Lamb Of God were due to trek across the UK and Europe with Kreator and Power Trip, starting in Sweden on March 27, but all dates for the tour are now being rescheduled for a later date.

The band shared the news on social media, saying: "Unfortunately, our upcoming European/UK tour will be postponed due to the various bans on public gatherings and travel restrictions. We also wouldn’t want to put fans, crew or bands in danger or risk further spread of the virus.

"We’re actively working to reschedule the tour with Kreator and Power Trip and will be announcing the rescheduled dates as soon as possible. Hold on to your ticket for the rescheduled dates. We look forward to returning to Europe in the near future."

Lamb of God's postponement is just one of many tours affected by the spread of coronavirus. In the United States SXSW festival has been cancelled while Coachella has been delayed until October, and many bands have been forced to postpone tours across the globe including Pearl Jam, Slipknot and My Chemical Romance.

Lamb Of God will release their self-titled album on May 8, via Epic Records.

Speaking to Kerrang! earlier this year, frontman Randy Blythe explained that while the album is "political", it's not about Donald Trump.

“I can’t write about the Trump administration because it changes so quick,” Randy told Kerrang!. “And if you look at the UK with Brexit, everything changes so fast it would be a fruitless exercise to try to pin a theme on one specific political topic. I wanted to look at the broader, wide-angle view of our global society, and figure out what has allowed this environment to occur.”
